Innovations East visit to MediConcepts
Dr Peter Blenkinsop dropped by Hong Kong to visit MediConcepts.
His visit included both the Head Office in Hong Kong and our
factory in China. Dr Peter Blenkinsop is the Chief Executive
of the NHS Innovations of East of England. Peter was on a study
mission of the medical opportunities in China as part of the
East of England DTI team. Peter took out some time for a presentation
to some of the local professionals and industrialist to present
some Intellectual Property opportunities in the UK at the Hong
Kong Productivity Council. |

of Department of Trade and Industry Hong Kong visits MediConcepts
Manufacturing Plant in China
Paul Grey makes a special visit to see MediConcepts facilities
in China. The DTI arm of the British Consulate General in Hong
Kong have been extremely supportive to MediConcepts and have
helped MediConcepts enormously in UK. MediConcepts would like
to thank Paul for visiting our facilities given his busy day
to day schedule. |

Sponsors the R&D of the Correction of Spinal Sclerosis using
Nitinol and Memory Metal
MediConcepts is proud to sponsor such a magnificent innovation
in the Correctionof Spinal Sclerosis by the Univeristy of Hong
Kong. The whole project has gained huge endorsement in sponsorship
from the Hong Kong Government. The total R&D sum for the
project is in excess of USD 1 Million which will take the project
into clinical trial manufacturing stage in 2 years time. MediConcepts
is already well adverse in the use of Nitinol feels strongly
that the new innovation will revolutionize the surgical and
patient benefit of the new system. |

joins UK DTI to visit MedTec Shanghai
MediConcepts were proud to be invited as guests on a study mission
to MedTec Shanghai from the UK DTI. It was another great visit
to meet people from the medical industry in UK to share views
on manufacturing, developments in China and Asia. It was also
a good opportunity to catch up on developments in UK. |

at Medica 2006
This is MediConcepts 4th year at Medica, taking the opportunity
to see many friends and partners at the show. It was also an
opportunity to meet new potential partners which brings more
exciting projects for 2007. |

Expansion
of Manufacturing Plant
MediConcepts have just completed the expansion of additional
space of 4000 sq ft of 100K cleanrooms. This cleanrooms will
contain plastic injection molding, assembly, ultrasonic welding,
ultrasonic cleaning, assembly, sewing and packaging. The facility
is upgradeable to 10K cleanroom standard. The facilities will
cater for the manufacturing of Class II devices to ISO 13485. |

(HKMHDMA) AGM and Annual Dinner
A great turnout again with the increasing number of members.
The AGM followed by the dinner was participated by many local
leading industrialist, academics and the Hong Kong Hospital
Authority all throwing their weight behind the Associations. |

Chan elected as Executive Board Member of the Hong Kong Medical
and Healthcare Devices Manufacturers Association (HKMHDMA)
Benjamin Chan, director of MediConcepts is elected as Committee
Member of the HKMHDMA to serve a term of 2006 ¡V 2008. MediConcepts
already a founding and Corporate Member of the HKMHDMA is proud
to take further active part in promoting the association which
has grown year on year. |

Arrival
of Silicon Injection and Magnesium Alloy molding machines
MediConcepts is ready for silicon injection molding and magnesium
alloy injection molding. These machines are state of the art
in their own class. In addition we have further purchased CNC
machine to cope with increased demands. |
